Heating and air conditioning service
Service, repair and replacement for the systems that keep island homes comfortable in every season.
Our services
Furnace and air handler service
Annual tune-ups, repairs and replacements to keep forced-air systems running safely and efficiently.
Boiler service and integration
Service for existing boilers and setup so they work alongside a new heat pump instead of against it.
Air conditioning
Central and ductless cooling, repairs and replacement, plus summer dehumidification for damp coastal homes.
Ventilation and air quality
ERV and HRV options for tight homes, and REME HALO purification added to existing ductwork.
A yearly visit saves winter emergencies
A fall service visit catches worn parts, dirty filters and drainage problems before the first cold snap. It also keeps equipment running at the efficiency you paid for.
A service visit includes
- Safety and operation check of the system
- Filter check and replacement
- Coil and condensate drain inspection
- Thermostat and controls check
- A written note of anything that needs attention
Recent work
Installs and maintenance
From new furnaces to deep cleaning a ductless unit. A mini-split blower wheel packed with buildup moves less air, works harder and can push musty smells into the room.

Questions
Service questions
How often should my heating system be serviced?
Once a year, before the heating season. Fall appointments fill quickly on the island, so book in late summer or early fall if you can.
Do you work on older homes?
Yes. Much of the housing on Mount Desert Island is older, and we are used to working around original layouts, tight basements and mixed heating systems.
Do I need ventilation if I add insulation?
A tighter house often benefits from controlled fresh air. We can assess whether an ERV or HRV makes sense for your home.
