HVAC in Northeast Harbor and the town of Mount Desert
Heat pumps, heating service, air purification and seasonal home care across the villages of Mount Desert, where On Target Air is based.
Our home town
On Target Air is based in Mount Desert, so Northeast Harbor, Seal Harbor, Somesville and Otter Creek are our own back yard. That means shorter drive times and quicker answers when something goes wrong.
Many houses here are summer homes, from shingle-style cottages to large waterfront estates, and many sit empty all winter. Keeping them safe while owners are away is a big part of the job: closed-season checks, the right heat settings for an empty house, and a photo report after each visit. See seasonal home care.
When owners modernize, heat pumps are a natural fit for these older houses. They can carry the house on mild days, cool it in summer, and work alongside an existing boiler. Big rooms and high ceilings need careful sizing, which is why we do a heat-load calculation before recommending equipment.

Questions
Can you check on my house while I am away for the winter?
Yes. On a closed-season plan we visit on a set schedule, check heat, humidity and equipment, and email you photos and a short report.
Do you work with caretakers and property managers?
Yes. Many houses here are looked after by a caretaker or management company, and we coordinate access, scheduling and reports with them.
Will a heat pump work with my existing boiler?
Yes. We set up the controls so the heat pump carries the load and the boiler steps in when needed, rather than the two fighting each other.
